Clinton Snubs Press!

In a shocking development it was revealed today that former secretary of state and Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has locked the doors to her home in Chappaqua New York. Representatives of the news media have filed a complaint with the Democratic National Committee regarding this issue. In the complaint the reporters claimed that they had gone to Secretary Clinton’s home to look through her drawers and examine any documents she might have lying around. They also said that the back yard fence was latched and when they tried to gain access they were rebuffed by the hard wooden fence. The fence pushed against their bodies in an aggressive manner and they felt demeaned. In addition when they tried to peep into the windows they weren’t able to see through the blinds which is a violation of the freedom of the press to invade the space of anyone named Clinton.

These journalists who work for the Daily Paparazzi are contemplating a lawsuit in Federal Court based on their rights under the first amendment. Journalist Aiden S. stated that “Dude, we have a right to look through her shit, we’re the press!”  His partner Rob Z. added that he would have liked to have gotten a look inside because the American people have a right to see whether or not her house is in order, I mean, dude, what if she doesn’t pick up after herself or she leaves the cap off the toothpaste? These are issues the American people should be aware of.” 

The Clinton campaign’s only comment in regard to this matter was to say that the first amendment does not guarantee the press the right of access to Secretary Clinton’s house. They had no comment on the toothpaste cap or the right to window peep

The Democratic National Committee released a statement saying that while the first amendment is a cornerstone of our democracy that they would have to side with Secretary Clinton as regards access to her private residence and that many people sometimes inadvertently leave the cap off the toothpaste and that that shouldn’t be a factor in choosing a candidate for President

This Reporter found a dusty copy of the Constitution and would note for posterity that The Free Press Clause protects the right of individuals to express themselves through publication and dissemination of information, ideas and opinions without interference, constraint or prosecution by the government”, there was no mention of  private citizens in parades, nylon boundary ropes or window peeping. Journalist Aiden S. added that in the case of the Clinton’s the corollary is “hey dude, we write the stories so whatcha gonna do?”

Jim Allyn We wouldn't want to have that nasty media seeing things that Hillary Clinton doesn't want them to see like her yoga schedule, now would we? Besides access to Clinton’s windows is only for corporations, not us mere mortals. Just one more reason why I'm supporting Bernie Sanders for President. Jim J. Hill This is amazing. Hillary showing her true colors. Wonder if she will start the "free speech zones" we saw during the Bush Administration? This woman really makes me afraid. If she will lock out the press, just imagine what she will do to "ordinary" Americans - break out the barbed wire fencing. Clinton Breakfast Scandal Rages!

Hillary Clinton may have angered a crucial voting group today when she said these words. “Sometimes, in the morning I just have toast.” The voting bloc known as human beings who enjoy eating eggs in the morning is crucial to her chances for winning the nomination and then the presidency.

Some of the comments on facebook and Twitter indicated that the egg constituency was less than enthusiastic after the statement.

Mike from Red Dog Idaho said this, “It shows a deep insensitivity and really a lack of caring for the breakfast choices of others. I’m going to have to rethink my decision to support Clinton.

Karl Rove released a statement that “Clinton’s statement was deeply troubling, Eggs, God, Apple Pie ,Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi…”  

Bernie Sanders immediately released a statement asserting his lifelong love of eggs with a photo of him at twenty holding a protest sign in one hand and a platter of fried eggs in the other. He then did a dance routine while singing the lyrics to The Incredible Edible Egg.

Fox News put together a panel to discuss how badly this gaffe is going to affect Clinton’s support. Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly revealed a flash study done within moments of the statement which seemed to show Clinton’s lead had slipped dramatically in Vermont and New Hampshire. The study showed favorite son candidate Bernie Sanders is now be within 9 points, (DOWN FROM 10!)  of Clinton in the egg rich neighboring states.

Religious fundamentalists quoted a little know passage from Lewitacuss, Lewitacuss 666 which reads “No ‘one may eat of the flesh of sliced bread that has been held over a brazier until crisp and then slathered in butter and jam.” 

The Westboro Baptist Church will picket Clinton’s appearance in Topeka on August 1^st of this year. They released a statement that read “Revelations clearly states that a woman who colors her hair using dyes and eats of the fruit of sliced bread that has been held over a brazier until crisp and then slathered with butter and jam is the Anti-Egg and will bring on the end of days and the rapture”

The Clinton campaign then hastily released the following statement. “Hillary eats a diverse range of breakfast choices by no means limited to sliced bread that has been held over a brazier until crisp and then slathered with butter and jam. Secretary Clinton finds Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, rolls, fresh fruit, crepes and many other breakfast choices tasty and delicious. She then recounted a story that her mother had told her.  “Hillary, she said, always respect every fruit and veggie in the garden. All produce matters!” 

Just in- Members of the various produce groups are reacting negatively to Clintons recent statement that All Produce Matters.

Rutabaga Soldidarity Coalition, Hearts of Celery, Brussel Sprout Revolution and Turnip Struggles were incensed and released a joint statement that read as follows. “With these three words, “All Produce Matters,” Hillary Clinton has shattered any trust she may have been building with Vegetables in Coalition. We are shocked and outraged at the insensitivity displayed here.”

The Clinton Campaign released the following statement in response, “Bliddy blurp blurpy Nibby nobby Nerpy, Louie Lou-I , Inagaddadavida, shimmy shimmy coco bop, Naaaayaa, naiiiya gagah gaggaggahh ummeeee. Gitchi gitchi ya a da da, a wimba wep, a wimba wep…..

The Transparency of Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney is the epitome of everything Americans say they are tired of. He's a master shape shifter morphing seamlessly from position to position apparently without shame. His campaign staff mirror his "ya, ok, I lied, so what" attitude perfectly. A campaign ad that accuses Obama of changing the rules about work for welfare recipients is found to be false. Romney's staffers answer without a pause, "We wont be dictated to by fact checkers, Its working".  When questioned about how a position Romney took during the primaries will play for general election voters a Romney staffer replied, "everything starts over now, we just shake the etch a sketch".Did Mr Romney bully a young classmate in high school? He cant remember.Will he show his tax returns, no. Did he leave Bain Capitol when he said he did, no. And so it goes, we have arrived in a freaky alien otherworld where a candidate for president can just lie and shrug it off and move on while the voters react like anesthetized sheep accepting blatant dishonesty as part of the deal. Have years of political spin doctors and talking points so blurred the line between truth and reality that some of us can no longer tell the difference or care?
So the man who wrote the blueprint for Obamacare in Massachusetts has shaken the etch a sketch and promises to repeal the Affordable Care act. SHAKE, SHAKE, videos of Romney supporting abortion rights and planned parenthood, shake it again and Mitt is telling a crowd he will be defunding Planned Parenthood. The wind of political change has blown across the Republican party and it seems Mitt will set his sails whatever direction it takes to win.
As a liberal democrat I would be voting for Obama regardless but the threat of Mitt Romney is terrifying and I cant conceive of  how a fairly large percentage of the population says they will vote for him. His actions during the campaign are like huge red flags warning us to beware. It seems each day brings a new report of  some sort of dishonest or underhanded behavior. Miners at a coal mine are forced to attend a Romney fundraiser and donate. Romney evidently cant find any disgruntled young former Obama voters so he uses a staffer to portray one in an ad. Romney attempts to push new delegate rule at convention to weaken candidates from insurgent parties. Romney sends staffers to heckle at  an Obama rally, then shocks Morning Joe host, Joe Scarborough by not even trying to deny it.
Finally, Romney seems to operate out of 2 modes.The direct lie and by revealing his true positions by way of placing his foot in his mouth.For example "if you want to go to college, borrow the money from your parents", "why of course corporations are people"and "I love to fire people". When asked by a reporter why didn't he bring up Afghanistan in his acceptance speech, Romney says, "Well I only talk about important things in a speech", These"mistakes" are actually Romney being honest about his positions.
And why should these things concern us?  They should concern us first because we are Americans. We live in a country where at least in theory we don't approve of the end justifying the means. We live in a country that used to believe that winners never cheat and cheaters never win. We live in a country where our first President had the reputation that he could not tell a lie, where one of our greatest Presidents was known as "Honest Abe". And lastly these things should concern us because we know where they lead. They lead to places like the  Watergate hotel, enemies lists, the torture of military prisoners and Wall street crashing the economy, they lead to the the rich and powerful rigging the system to work for them, they lead to wars for profit and they end with flag draped caskets and grieving families and seeing the land of the free and the home of the brave committing human rights violations. They lead to massive federal debt, an economy in ruins,  bankruptcies, foreclosures and unemployment. They are the result of putting politics above people and they will bankrupt us morally as well as financially.
And thats the rub, he lies constantly but he's blatantly honest. I've read somewhere that in the first weeks of a relationship the other person tells us everything we need to know about them but we don't choose to hear it. Later we wonder, how could we have fallen for this person?  In the world of Presidential politics this is the dating phase. He's right there, he's telling us everything we need to know. I will do anything to get elected,  he's saying, I represent the wealthy he tells us. I will put their needs and interests above all else, I will gut the student loan program, roll back the clock on womens rights, send you're sons and daughters to fight in more needless wars, end Medicare and social security as we know it and finish the destruction of the middle class in this country.  He is simultaneously the most dishonest and completely transparent candidate we may ever see and if you hand him the power he seeks, if you place him in the seat where Franklin Delano Roosevelt sat, where Dwight Eisenhower sat, where John Fitzgerald Kennedy sat,  and where Teddy Roosevelt sat,  you will have no excuse whatsoever to bemoan the results.
